We pride ourselves on our exemplary teaching staff, who each bring their own individual qualities to the friendly and dynamic staff team at Wessex Lodge School.
Nigel is Deputy Head Teacher at Wessex Lodge School and has worked at the school since 2012. Prior to this, he has experience in a variety of SEMH settings.
Neil has over 20 years experience working with young people in a variety of teaching and learning settings, 17 years of which have been specifically devoted to young people with Specific Educational Needs.
Kate is also Deputy Head Teacher at Wessex Lodge School and only joined us in 2020. She has extensive experience in SEMH settings and is bringing new ideas to the table.
Mark has over 22 years experience in teaching, instructing and coaching young people in a variety of different settings, ranging from schools, recreational clubs and outdoor adventure settings.
Over the last 16 years Laura has dedicated her working life to assisting looked after children in varying capacities, she has a passion for a child centred approach.
Wessex Lodge School
Wessex Lodge School is the main school site based in Frome. This is where a number of classroom based activities take place, such as Maths, English and Home Cooking Skills. It is also the main base for our middle school.
Triskele Farm is an alternative prevision therapy farm, linked with Wessex Lodge School. This facility is located in Maiden Bradley and allows students the opportunity to explore subject paths which would otherwise not be available to them. This includes the likes of animal care, horticulture, construction and forest school, as well as sporting activities, and extra classrooms for more academic subjects.
