Inclusion and Engagement Lead
Leah has committed her career to supporting adults and young people with a range of complex learning needs, in both Registered Health and Social care and Special Education. She works from the understanding that relationship is the starting point in engagement in learning and that behaviour is an expression of need. Leah is an experienced Licenced Thrive Adolescent Practitioner, Family Thrive Leader and Thrive Lead Trainer. In recent years Leah has whole heartedly committed to trauma informed practise, using creative and hands on learning through Thrive Approach, to promote access to all areas of the broad curriculum on offer at Wessex Lodge School. Leah firmly believes in the importance of empowering staff, to then enable students to meet their best possible outcomes.
