We are an Ofsted graded GOOD school and are proud to be named as a Thrive School of Excellence. We are an independent SEMH school offering an individualised education to improve life outcomes.
Our team of staff provide highly specialised education provision and support to students who have complex needs. Our school runs across two sites, the Ark in Frome and Newmead Farm in Maiden Bradley.
We are passionate about providing excellent, bespoke education and opportunities for our students. Our four pillar goals are CARE – care, adaptability, resilience and empathy; through these we develop our students social, moral, spiritual and cultural skills, and add to this academic achievement, developing our young people so that they can secure, safe and contributing members of society.
Thrive (therapeutic and restorative approach to emotional and social development) underpins our entire curriculum. Students thrive and progress in our school, and their attainment, engagement and progress is significantly higher in comparison to previous placements, as recognised by OFSTED. We are extremely proud of our school, our students and our amazing staff.

We aim to provide our students with a safe, caring and nurturing community with clear, consistent boundaries and high expectations. Relationships are at the heart of our approach and are based on sensitive understanding of a young person’s experiences and the areas in which they require more support.
